Wedding Reception on Camano Island

my life in pictures... 2nd of many more to come

More Cosmos flowers:
A hybrid one...
And now on to the Kumamoto Country Music Festival... this year it was awesome also!

the veterans pose for another exciting day in Aspecta at Aso!

Jamie and Wendy begin the eating fest! We all had so much meat and BBQ'd veggies that I didn't even eat the next day.

Richard and I pose with our Nepali friend who was giving out free bracelets of his hometown.

I had to get a picture with this guy. He was a badass!

The view from our picnicking area... simply awesome!

Meeting Dierks Bentley. He was genuinely a gentleman. And a hell of a musician, too! (He also happened to be the headliners for the show)

The old man strutted down to the stage and led that lady in a nice line dance. The cameras got it too. I don't know his name, but I think he is rather famous. So, I had to meet him too:

A picture with the two of us. He was so excited we had to get a picture with his camera too... i thought my camera (being 4 years old) was old, clunky and big. You should have seen the size of his! It was an awesome flashback to an era of older (film) cameras!

The organizer, Charlie Nagatani, won an award... he is 75 years old and has, "been singing country music since 1956." Another genuine gentleman. We shook hands again this year too.

"Let's Boots Dancin' this year baby!"

Some of the party-animals performing here... and Wendy-chan is rockin' out too!

Danielle Peck had some nice songs too. It was a good late afternoon performance!

Dierks and his boys jammed out as the evening fell in Kumamoto. Made for a nice ending to a great day of music. Afterwards, all of the performers (including: Charlie Nagatani's band, the Cannonballs, Whiskey Falls- who were awesome, and the John Cowles Band- rad bluegrass band who covered Led Zeppelin's "Going to California," got together and sang, "This Land Is Your Land." A nice closing I think.

More pictures another time. Some hiking ones and "naturey" stuff. That is so lame to write. Ha!
