June 11: Hiking in Montana de Oro

Hiked two days in a row in Montana de Oro State Park. First with Jake and Nick and then with Dad. All sunny!

 Spooner Cove. Awesome!

 Nick found this baby rattlesnake. A horse must have stepped on it.

 Me in rare form... birding atop Valencia Peak. Got a good view of a White-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia leucophrys).

Pretty nice tan, eh? And not a bad view either from 1300 feet above that mighty Pacific!
